Besides that, implementing an Agile way of working and a component-based solution that can respond to the customers’ needs immediately.
Our approach: Cloud platform of AWS in combination with Hybris 6
Together with Maxeda we worked in multidisciplinary teams to integrate the two platforms and ensure the needs of the customers are covered. We set up design sprints, created prototypes and developed a product strategy. Improvements were designed based on user tests and prioritized to ensure that the most important issues were resolved rapidly.
Maxeda uses the cloud platform of Amazon Web Services in combination with Hybris 6. Continuous delivery is one of the conditions for a shorter time to market. The AWS platform provides the infrastructure that is needed for a continuous deployment process. The scalability of the platform is also very important. If needed, there is extra capacity so the website can handle all the traffic during peak hours and promotion weeks. With this cloud solution we guarantee a website that performs well at all times.
The results: Increase of site visits and revenueOne digital platform with integrated content that ensures a seamless customer experience and an e-commerce environment that can adjust quickly to customer’s needs. The new websites offers more relevant content, an improved check out process and easier navigation. Although there is room for improvement regarding the right mix of the ‘Voor de Makers’- community content and webshop content, the statistics points out that there is an increase of site visits and revenue. There is a higher conversion and an increase of transactions compared to last year.
The details: Usertests with mouse, eye and brain tracking
To ensure that Maxeda's visitors are finding what they need and are satisfied with the new platforms, they organized user tests with two times 50 customers. In collaboration with Braingineers, three website scenarios were created. With the use of mouse, eye and brain tracking and interviews, Maxeda found out that the frustration of the website is decreased and the value ‘joy’ is increased due to an improved navigation and checkout. Maxeda and Mirabeau are currently making further improvements to the e-commerce environment to increase customer satisfaction even further.
