China Southern transports more than 100 million passengers per year, and has a fleet of more than 600 airplanes. That makes them the largest airline in Asia, and fifth largest in the world.
China Southern aims to strengthen traveller loyalty by offering their customers an optimal user experience. Mirabeau was chosen because of its expertise in this area within the airline industry. The internet agency has more than ten years of experience in the air travel sector, working for clients such as KLM, Transavia, SkyTeam and Singapore Airlines. The high quality of Dutch Digital Design played a major role in the choice to award Mirabeau with this contract.
The mobile application will play a key role in passengers’ customer journey. Close cooperation between the two companies will be demonstrated in the fact that the Mirabeau team and China Southern’s mobile team will physically work together on location. Work will be executed on the basis of Scrum methodology.
‘We are extremely happy with this challenging assignment. We’ll be working for both the Chinese market and the international market. It is a unique combination of differences; both in terms of culture and in terms of mobile penetration for each region in which the app will be used,’ says Heini Withagen, founding partner Mirabeau.
Mirabeau helps companies respond to changing consumer behavior in a digital world. From a perspective of customer needs and behavior, Mirabeau designs products and services for digital touch points.
